Some of it is the photographer, and some of it is the hardware. There are limits to what a basic point and shoot can do.
I have some expensive ass Canon Rebel something or other. Some day I will actually learn how to use it..... probably not any time soon though.
Then of course there is editing afterwards which I learned somewhat, but the program does most of the work.
For the price I should be able to just click a button and let the camera do some magic. Too bad it doesnt work that way.
