    I must have gotten duds. All the plastic anchors I got are sealed at the ends so the screws stop instead of punching through and spreading the anchors. Additionally, the screws I got are only threaded the last third and smooth like nails on the rest.

    I have to drill a pilot hole in the ends of the anchors to get them to even work. I tried hitting the screws with a hammer to get them started but it just causes the anchors to fall into the stud cavity.

    I did try fully threaded screws and they seemed to work fine. Anyone else have this problem?

    I’ve bought two or three of these sets when they’ve been on other deals. They are a good set at a great price.
