He tried telling me about the puddle thing but I'm a lost cause at welding. My soldering was ok last time I soldered something but its been a while, so there is no telling. Welding seems to be one of those things that takes a few minutes to learn and a life time to master. I am sure it just takes practice and a lot of bad welds before it is possible to get the hang of it.
