auto electric...lights - tweybrew - 05-28-2020 I am trying to convert an old Lincoln from OEM turn signals to LED. Most all videos tell me to use a 6Ω resistor to prevent hyper-flash. It isn't working for me. As a DIYer, I'm thinking I should increase the resistance but I'm not sure exactly how to do that. Should I just go to a 10Ω or 15Ω resistor? Anyone have other suggestions, please? RE: auto electric...lights - Orion1876 - 05-28-2020 (05-28-2020, 09:20 AM)tweybrew Wrote: I am trying to convert an old Lincoln from OEM turn signals to LED. I am not too sure but it would seem a bit more resistance is needed since it is not possible to get a LED flash module for the Lincoln. I have not done this conversion myself. RE: auto electric...lights - PJ - 05-28-2020 They don't make a tail light kit you can use? Even if the kit wasn't for your exact vehicle, if it was similar and you could splice the plugs that might work. That would be the way I would go because I would have no chance at figuring out the resistor thing. RE: auto electric...lights - MiscellaneousDave - 05-29-2020 I would find a forum for that vehicle and post there. You can't be the only one doing this. I am surprised that the load resistor didn't work. I would tend to think you just have the wrong ohms, but be careful adding more resistance.
