Ryobi tripod light is coming out - Orion1876 - 05-28-2020 For any Ryobi fans they are coming out with a Ryobi tripod light. I am sure it will be a bit cheaper than the Dewalt and Milwaukee Might be a good option since the Dewalt and Milwaukee tripod lights are so expensive. Should be coming to Home Depot soon. Been watching for like the last 2 months waiting for this light to go on sale as I want to get at least 2 (depending on sale price, which I assume will be $75): https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-18-Volt-Hybrid-Folding-Panel-Light-Tool-Only-R8694221B/207041053 That light is amazing. I know there has been a few Ridgid hacks with Home Depot in the past. It might be possible to get it really cheap with a starter kit and then return the starter kit. Home Depot knows Depot is ok with people doing it this way. They even split up the items on the receipt because they allow people to do it. Some deals they don't, in which case it rings up as one item that can't be split up. Just a thought. I know PJ is not a fan of this method. Looks nice but too rich for my blood. However a Ryobi tripod light might push me over the edge of getting into the Ryobi platform. I have been wanting a tripod light for a long time. Hopefully there will be a deal available on it during Ryobi days. RE: Ryobi tripod light is coming out - MiscellaneousDave - 05-29-2020 (05-28-2020, 11:44 PM)PJ Wrote: Wow $119 for a light. It really is nice, and it can use both battery OR AC power (plug an extension cord into it) which is a nice touch that Ridgid does in stuff too. I wish more of the lights and power tools have the dual power capability. That would be awesome to have a backup if you battery is dead and you need the tool working to finish a project. I know Ryobi and Ridgid seem to be making some their lights dual power, but not so much for Dewalt and Milwaukee that I know of. Expensive but I wish every brand had this. <iframe style="width:120px;height:240px;" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" src="//ws-na.amazon-adsystem.com/widgets/q?ServiceVersion=20070822&OneJS=1&Operation=GetAdHtml&MarketPlace=US&source=ss&ref=as_ss_li_til&ad_type=product_link&tracking_id=shopstruggleville-20&language=en_US&marketplace=amazon®ion=US&placement=B07ZQR2GYC&asins=B07ZQR2GYC&linkId=58a8599586390ddec4c08bdadc6d2ca4&show_border=true&link_opens_in_new_window=true"></iframe> RE: Ryobi tripod light is coming out - MiscellaneousDave - 06-01-2020 (05-29-2020, 02:32 PM)PJ Wrote: Metabo(bo) MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMetabobo... lol RE: Ryobi tripod light is coming out - Orion1876 - 06-01-2020 (06-01-2020, 02:47 PM)MiscellaneousDave Wrote:(05-29-2020, 02:32 PM)PJ Wrote: Metabo(bo) Yeah... they make some pretty good tools |
