Need quick advice - Yukon - 06-11-2020

Hey. If anyone has ordered from ACME Tools can you give me an opinion on the following scenario?

https://www.acmetools.com/shop/tools/makita-cut-the-cord-promotion/makita-xsh06pt

That deal is available at ACME Tools just like at Home Depot. Unfortunately, they are both out of stock. If the link doesn’t work it’s a Makita saw and 4 batteries, just like a Home Depot has.

With the $20 off Father’s Day or just the Mak20 code, it makes the price $229. I’m assuming it even works with the new subscriber discount for another $10 off.

$219 seems to be a pretty good deal for 4 batteries and a 7 1/4” saw even if it does weigh 10.4lbs.

My question: Will they really ship the deal products in 4-5 weeks when restocked as stated on the site?  Can I trust this place?  Have any other ideas or tool stores with the same deal?

I don't know of anyone else doing this deal other than Home Depot being a bit more but they are out of stock too. Not sure if HD stores carry both the saw kit and batteries to be able to pick up in a local store or not.

I trust that Acme won't take your money and run but I have no idea on the time frame of when the item will be shipped or if it ends up getting cancelled. For whatever reason is looks like TONS of stuff is listed as out of stock on their site. And the time frame looks to be the same for all of them, pretty generic.

I bought a small tool set from them around Christmas time, I remember it was backordered (out of stock, whatever) at the time I purchased. I don't remember how long it took but I did get the item.

Also the additional batteries and saw kit may come individually. The last "free item" purchase I made from International Tool was a Bosch deal. The tool came and then 1-2 weeks later the free item came.

Ok thanks. I’ve never ordered from ACME, so that helps.

I should probably take all the out of stock tags as a sign not to do it, but that big order button is taunting me.

ACME tends to be slow to ship items that are on back order.  Overall I have had a good experience ordering from ACME in the past.  They just can be a little slow to get more stock depending on how popular the tool is.  ACME is one of the largest online tool retailers and they do have some retail stores in certain parts of the US.  I would not hesitate to order from ACME if they have the best deal.

If it was me I would go for it.  That is a really great price if you are able to get it for $219.  I doubt it will be possible to get it much cheaper if you are ok with waiting a while for it to arrive.

Thanks. I think I’m going to do it if all the discounts really work.

I decided to wait on the Makita stuff.

I really want one of those 580cfm EGO blowers. Do those things ever go on sale? That one is $299 on Amazon.

EGO stuff does go on sale every once in awhile.  I'll try to remember to keep any eye out while I'm looking up stuff.
