How To Easily Figure Out Your eBay Selling Fees - PJ - 06-16-2020 Every time you sell an item on eBay they charge you a fee. You pay a final value fee, you may pay a listing fee, you can pay for listing upgrades. Also you will pay a fee to Paypal, at least until eBay switches 100% to their own payment processing later this year. Its also worth noting that your fees are not based on the selling price of your item, the fee is based on the total payment. So if you charge a buyer $10 for shipping and the item costs $10 to ship than you just lost $1 on shipping because eBay is charging you 10% of what you charged the buyer. The short of it is it can be a real pain constantly trying to do the math on the fees you are paying. You want to make sure every item is priced so that you are making a profit and math is hard so I used this tool from New Life Auctions to calculate fees for individual items I list. The video below shows how to use the tool. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/1xcY93BtKRM" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
