I was pretty happy with how this turned out.  At first I wasn't so sure how I wanted to mount the lights in the foam since it isn't all that easy to get to the backside.  The LED lights a really lightweight so I am pretty confident it will hold just fine.

It took a lot longer than I thought to get the foam boards up there but I am really hoping it holds the heat in the garage better.  The rafters have (always have had since I've owned the house) R11 insulation.  This 2 inch foam board is R10 and I had about 30 4ft rolls of R6.7 insulation that was free after rebate from menards laying on top of the foam boards.
