What is the best tool you have actually just found layin there waiting to be picked up?

For me, it is a set of Knipex water pump pliers.
At the time, I had no clue just how good of luck it was. I carry those things with me everywhere. I love em.

Found a picquic in a drop ceiling! Love that thing! Also flashlights! Mind you I've left a couple flashlights in drop ceilings (thankfully just cheap ones)

I don't have a great story here. I found a 25 foot tape measure in the street literally 30 years ago. I still use it to this day. It isn't anything special, but hey it works. Smile

Its not a tool but I found a $20 bill on the ground outside the porta potties at Country Thunder a year or 2 ago.

I'll come back if I can think of a tool example.

That was mine.  I dropped it there accidentally.  Please send back to me.

I have found a few broken tape measures and flashlights over the years.  Never anything worth keeping.  Usually there is a reason why it was left behind.

This tape measure was like brand new

Only thing I have found that has been useful is a fishing pole that was in pretty good shape when I was fishing in Galveston one year.  I snagged it when I was fishing off of a pier.

I only find free electrical tape in drop ceilings.

RE: Found it - Yukon - 05-27-2020

Really? I have found the Knipex pliers, 3 different Snap-on wrenches, a 300 series Stihl chainsaw, and a $100 bill. This is over the course of about 7-8 years.
