I've used these types for outdoor decorating but have recently used them in my shop to have multiple tools plugged in at once. Having the covers is nice for outdoor use.

That an interesting cord, might be over kill but would probably be great at my desk. So many things plugged into a power strip with 8 outlets but I can only use 2 of the outlets because of how they fit.

I have not seen a extension cord like this one before.   It would be good for a variety of uses.  I would be a little concerned using it with some things due to this cord being made up of light duty 16 gauge wire.
