When listing an item at a fixed price, you will usually be deciding between using either the 30 day format or the Good Til Cancelled (GTC) format. Both formats have their advantages and disadvantages. If you have multiple quantities of an item you may prefer to use GTC, however if you go a month or 2 without sales you might be better off switching that listing to 30 days so that you get the new listing search rank bump.
