I agree with the ‘willing to pay’ comment, in general. HF does have a few things which are just as good, though, or just a plain, better value even with their recent attempt to upgrade their tool lines.

These, for instance, are a better value (with 20% off) even though you can get the Mountain version at a cheaper price on Amazon or other tool sites. They are often warrantied wrenches because people treat them like breaker bars. NAPA has some branded Carlyle, but they’re listed at about $219 I believe.
Having said that, those are one of the few tools that have made me seriously consider Icon, Doyle, or Hercules. Hopefully, prices will adjust via market forces.
