It is baby steps, and one bite at a time. There is always time and there will always be another deal. The other thing is just being proactive and looking before you need things. If you need clothes you buy off season long sleeves in summer and shorts in winter. Clearance racks and after holiday. Stores want to get rid of stuff and you have something new if you put it away for next season. Baking goods around holidays or right after. Nonperished gifts. I tend to get 2-3 years and give out. Never know if you might lose your income or have a hard time one year. Living off stockpile of cheaply bought things. No one I know has been with out toilet paper and I could even go longer if the shortage and high demand kept up. You will get there just have a game plan and know things go down in price and you don't need everything right now.
