So masses of people have closets full of toilet paper. In a few months we should see stores unable to give away toilet paper.
Also barrels of oil were negative at one point and yet gas prices are still over $2 a gallon. Whats up with that? Oh yeah, the great pleasure of paying Illinois taxes. Asked and answered.
I hope when this is all said and done that NONE of the stores will take back a single paper product. I know that most aren't doing any kind of refunds right now, but when that lifts I hope they won't do any paper refunds AT ALL. Let those greedy %@#^#$^@#@# die with their stupid excess.

We are at 1.85 here in Florida currently for gas.
It is funny how the price of oil is not reflected in the price of gas very well. The cost of oil was negative for a day, and yet the price of gas never dropped lower than about $1.45 per gallon here. When the price of oil goes up the price of gas goes up, but when the price of oil goes down the price of gas not so much. There seems to be a bit of price fixing going on clearly.

Well the one thing to consider is that even if oil was free, gas companies still need to charge to refine the oil, store, transport, and deliver it to your car, so there will always be a charge.

This is very true but it still seems odd how it goes up in price much faster then it goes lower when the price of oil goes down. Prices go up even though the gas in the tanks was purchased a while ago at cheaper prices.

That is a different conversation all together, and I couldn't agree with you more there.

It will be interesting to see how prices are affected by recent destruction of some gas stations.

I don't see any way that this would affect the price of oil as a whole. Maybe that station....

Hopefully not. I just expect they might try to pass the cost down to the purchaser but insurance will cover a lot of it hopefully

Oh you were talking about individual stations. Yeah they may have to raise prices. Hopefully not to high where it forces them out of business.
