Remember back in 2017 when Equifax got hacked and over 140 million people had their private information compromised? After one of the biggest data breaches in history Equifax was forced to compensate consumers who were affected.
However, how is someone supposed to know whether their information was compromised or not? You’d think a company that is built on collecting personal data on all of us would certainly have a reasonable way to get a hold of all 140+ million people who were affected. Unfortunately it is up to you to find out if Equifax owes you $125.
The silver lining is they set up a website where you can enter your last name and the last 6 digits of your social security number and it will instantly tell you if you are owed any money from Equifax.
Thanks for sharing PJ.

My wife is getting a check. I wasn’t affected. We checked ours earlier in the week.
You sure this isn’t a scam?
