Best tool from Harbor Freight

Might have to check out that heat gun! I've bought cheap chisels to use as beaters for construction that are a great value for the couple bucks to save me using my nice ones. Harbor freight is good for odds and ends to add to your order, like staples and a cheap Plumb Bob if you don't have one etc. Lots of useful stuff under 5$

You're right about some of the cheapie stuff.  The have bought almost every Storehouse replenishable item. The various bolts and pins and cotter keys and all that stuff.  Never know when you might need it.  I was just digging through several cases of the stainless steel screws tonight needing a specific one... of course I couldnt find the one I needed but having all those options gave me hope damn it!

This is true.   I was in need of some M5 screws the other day to mount a TV on the wall.    I have a lot of screws from Harbor Freight and a a few Vigrue kits from Amazon.

Sadly I couldn't find the needed screws.  I guess it just means I need stock up on my supply with homes that next time I will have the needed item when there is a need for it.

Best one so far is the Chicago Electric multi tool. Nothing fancy but it works every time and it was only like $10 or $12 bucks. I also like my Lynxx cordless pole saw. Haven’t found a true dud yet. I’ve been picky about what I buy from there.

There have been so many terrible things I have purchased from the old HF. I think the worst had to have been their leather work gloves. they looked great until I wore them for the first time working outside all day. The leather is dyed yellow and once you get the gloves wet or start sweating in them the dye leaches out and turns your hands yellow. It took me two days to get all of that yellow off my hands! My favorite/most useful tool is harder to pinpoint because I've had so many little things that have come in really handy. I would guess either my pisttsburgh pro ratchets or wrenches would have to be the ones which have given me the most bang for the buck.

I agree the quality of many items has not been very good.  Sometimes a bit more expensive means much better.   Many of the pliers and such have been great.

I am glad that they do have decent tools and that they aren't ALL junk. At least that way there is a chance of getting something good.

this is true.  And they are good about warrantying tools from what I understand.
