If you have ever gotten the message in the title of this post from an Amazon buyer you are likely dealing with a drop shipper. Basically they have sold this book to a customer and are purchasing the book on Amazon and having Amazon ship the item directly to the customer. They are eager to get a tracking number so that they can upload it to their own order for their customer. This message is automated and will likely not only be sent the same day that the order is placed but everyday there after until you upload a tracking number. |
Other times you will get legitimate questions from buyers asking where there stuff is. If you fulfilled the item yourself then its pretty easy to upload a tracking number to the order and also give the track number to the buyer via a response to their initial inquiry. But what if it was an FBA item? You do not have access to the necessary information to answer their question. In this instance I always reply with a simple form letter informing the buyer that they will need to contact Amazon to get any information on their order. Here is a copy of the letter I use:
Hi [Name],
Your order was processed by Amazon.com, and therefore we are unable to see delivery information for your order. However, Amazon.com would be more than glad to assist you with this issue! They are available 24/7 to answer your questions and solve any issues you may run into. Here is how to contact them:
