A couple of years ago I bought a Harbor Freight 5 drawer mechanic cart but I found the plastic latches that came with it to be really annoying. Check out the video below to see a much better solution for any tool box.
Amazon has a tendency to make things more difficult than they really have to be. The instructions below will show you how to filter Amazon Warehouse deals by your specific vehicle and by specific discount percentages.
Thanks to CLAY and LARRY for the heads up on this AMAZING product!
Using the right battery adapter below will allow you to use virtually any cordless tool with any battery. In the DeWALT 20V platform but see a great deal on a Milwaukee M18 item? no problem, get the right adapter and you are good to go!
This Harbor Freight Chicago Electric angle grinder might not serve its original purpose anymore but it works great as a fog machine!… If it didn’t have a Prop 65 warning on it before it sure needs one now.
The all new Struggleville forum is now OPEN! Share deals both related to tools and not, share your latest pickups, talk about your shop and current projects. Hang out with some like minded people while saving mountains of cash!
I have always avoided the YMMV type of deals on the main portion of this site because they can be hard to find in stores and therefore irrelevant to many people. I know some people love “the hunt” of YMMV deals and you can certainly get some AMAZING deals if you happen to find a store with the item in stock. That being said I will start posting YMMV deals and they will all appear on the forum!
In addition to the deals section we also have a shop talk section. Post your tool hauls, your new tool pick ups, ask questions, answer polls, share what you are working on. Its the home for anything to do with the shop or garage.
We have a Youtube section. If you see a tool, automotive or home improvement related Youtube video that you think others would enjoy feel free to share it! And if you are a Youtube creator you can post your own related videos there too!
The last section we have is the “Hiding From The Wife” section. This is the no rules (ok, maybe some rules.) section of the forum. Share a nice rant, talk current events, sports… let everyone know what you had for dinner…. anything you need to get off your chest is welcome.

The mixture of SAE and metric fasteners can be a real head ache. First you have to determine which is meant to be used on the fastener then you have to hope you have that wrench or socket. Many of the sizes are actually interchangeable… or close enough to work in many instances. Below is a conversion chart that may help you out. So the next time you can’t find a 15mm you will know that you can probably use a 19/32. (Its the one that looks brand new, almost like its never been used before.)
My screwdriver bits are usually all over the place. I have always had various bits in different cases or bit rails, some bits just rolling around in one of my tool cart drawers. Its always a mess and I can never find the one I need…. UNTIL NOW! Using these ammo boxes as bit holders is AMAZING! I bought 2 of these boxes, all my bits fit in them, I can organize them all by type and size… PERFECT! The first link below is the smaller box mentioned in the video, the second box is the larger one mentioned last in the video.
Optimizing the available space in your garage or workshop is really important. No matter how big your work area is it seems like you never have enough space. I stumbled on this idea for storing various garage chemicals and other small items and thought it was really amazing. Below is the exact item I purchased on Amazon.
